Two new Rigby READS Online reports identify students that may be candidates for intervention instruction – the Student Intervention Report and the Class Intervention Report. These reports determine students' intervention status based on on-grade level test results in the READS Online Phonics, Vocabulary, and Comprehension tests. To accurately determine the intervention status of students in a class using these reports, assign the same on-grade level Phonics, Vocabulary, and Comprehension test sittings to each student in your class.
Note: Further classroom evaluation is recommended to determine if a student requires intervention instruction in the reading skills and strategies evaluated in these reports.
Student Intervention Report
The Student Intervention Report displays results from the Phonics, Vocabulary and/or Reading Comprehension sections of the READS Online Diagnostic Test. The report indicates if a student is a possible intervention candidate based on two criteria: performance in the Phonics and/or Vocabulary sections of the grade-level Diagnostic Test, and the student's Instructional Reading Level based on performance in the Reading Comprehension section of the Diagnostic Test. In this report, a student's Percentile in Class is also displayed based on a student's on-grade test results.
