Rigby READS Intervention

The Rigby READS is a valid and reliable assessment that can be administered in a single day.

This invaluable resource is built right into the Rigby Focus Forward program. Forms A, B, and C allow you to determine beginning, mid-year, and end-of-year progress.

Ongoing Assessment and Progress Monitoring

The program features on-going informal assessment and progress.

Daily Assessment

• After Reading, the Small Group Teaching Versions offer daily comprehension checks.
• In the reteaching section of the Whole Class Teacher's Guides, daily checks of phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension are also provided.

Weekly Assessment

• Students Self-Assessment pages in the Worktexts presents opportunities for students to evaluate their progress on comprehension strategies and reflect on their learning.
• The Assessment Guide features Weekly Tests for Group 1 and 2 to assist teachers in evaluating key skills and in placing students in the following week's Reteaching Groups.

Quarterly Assessment

• Quarterly Tests in the Assessment Guide allow teachers to continually monitor student progress in Groups 1 and 2.
